Our
hearts are
filled with joy
and we want to
share some of
our excitement
with you. Our
orphan friend,
Zoli, turned 18
last week. We
celebrated his
birthday for
several reasons.
The greatest is
that he could
apply for a
passport. It
will be ready
today. Zoli has
an invitation to
visit an
American couple
living in
Germany .
Imagine Zoli's
excitement as he
leaves his
pitiful
orphanage to
live in Germany
for three
months!
When
Fred and
I told
Zoli the
good
news, he
said
"Thank
you,
Jesus,
Thank
You Jesus!"
Zoli
believes
this is
the
first
part of
God's
plan for
his
life. In
October,
Zoli
will
have to
return
to
Romania
, but
our
prayer
is that
he will
never
have to
return
to the
orphanage.
God can
make
this
happen.

The
Loving
Arms
team
from
Colorado
is now
in the
Black
Forest
running
two
week-long
camps
for teen
orphans.
The
twenty six
team
members
have
prepared
all year
to bring
the
awesome
message
that
truly
"God is
With Us"
in the
dark
times as
well as
the good
times.
Year
after
year
close
relationships
form as
many
team
members
return
each
year.

Fred and I
teach
English
classes to
eight teen
orphans in
Popesti.
They are
very serious
about
learning
English. We
hope
speaking
English will
enable them
to get
better jobs
in the
future. We
use games
and a
variety of
activities
to make the
class fun
for all.

Some of our
dear friends
here in
Marghita ,
Romania are
Kari (from
California)
and her
foster son,
Adi. Adi won
Kari's heart
as she cared
for him
after a
cancerous
tumor was
removed from
his kidney.
Fred and I
spend time
teaching and
encouraging
those
volunteers
who are
fostering
orphans
here.

BIG
NEED:
A family is
the best
place for
children to
grow and
develop
their God
given
potential.
Some orphans
live in
transit
homes or
with foster
families. We
need
sponsors for
children
ages
toddlers to
teens. We
call these
sponsors
"Family
Friends." As
soon as we
have
sponsors for
a child we
can begin to
look for a
foster
family.

Because the
monthly expenses
for a child is
greater than a
single
sponsorship,
Family Friends
join together to
become an
extended family
supporting their
child. Please

have an
apartment here
in Marghita and
plan to stay for
the next two
years. We will
go to Denver for
the Christmas
holidays with
our family and
return to
Romania in early
in 2007.
